GOING OFF !!!!! Traveled South and nothing going on. Had the time, so shot up to Delray. Wind off-shore, head high PLUS and reeling. UNBELIEVABL!!! Have never seen it break so good. Easy 100+ Yard rides and only a handful of guys out trading good vibes and EPIC surf. Didn't have time to update pics.Happy April fools day. Trace unrideable swell. Unrideable. Should have stayed in bed. Joke was on me!9:20pm: After another epic head high barrelling off-shore evening session, I think it's time for bed. Exhausted!!! Haven't seen it so good in Broward for years. If only I could get Kelly to go home. Give a Slater a beer and the next thing you know they've drinken your whole supply of cheap suds. It just must be the extra smooth taste of the Beast. Guess he'll be joining the AM crew for a chop session in the morning. Presently strong 15+ gusty E winds. Chop building. No fooling ...

Wind blew all last night, but no surf. Maybe an occasional knee high wave. Presently, wind is backing off, E @ 10. Light E wind. Maybe knee high rideable in some locations. Not here.

Looking for rideable surf? Don't look in backyard. Knee high or less chop. Wind out of the E @ 10.  Back from a run on the beach. SE wind puffing at 10 mph or less. Light surface chop. Unrideable at high tide. Great afternoon for a stroll on the beach ... many beautiful sights to be had. Ya know, birds, shells, natures wonders ... Wind picking up. Not rideable now. Check back later in the day.

Wind from the SE at 15 - 20mph. Surfed SOLO from 6:30 to 8:00. Consistent waist to nipple high on the sets. Had some fun long rides and also many OTF acrobatic maneuvers. Closing out fast. Started getting a little funky later on, but still fun. Light N drift. Hey, does anyone know of a surf club where I can find some friends to surf with? Surfing solo is nuts.

Surfed with a full crew this AM, including Roray Kam (pics) and Jim "Wayback" Higgins. Thigh to waist to waist plus on sets. Wind is backing off so hit it now.

Knee to waist S chop, and improving. Yesterday's fun+. S wind at 15+. Rain threatening. Get some.

Beach day perfection. Pancake flat. Wind beginning to pick up from the W. Gotta love the cool dry air. Sure sparks a killer sunrise, although I'd rather be taking pics of my friends eating up a waist to chest high swell. Well, the swell did not make it to South Florida. A reliable source said there was an occasional knee high wave not too far N of here @ 6AM. Presently, absolutely still and flat without a hint of improvement. Hey, on the upside, this time last year we were getting tore up by lice - check the April 02 history.

Surfed N Palm Beach from 7 - 10. Waist to chest until 9, then dropped to waist high and inconsistent. A very clean and easy going swell. Go surf!

On the home front, ankle to max knee high dribble. Unrideable.

Took a ride up coast once again this morning. Wasn't even rideable until 9ish and marginal knee to thigh leftovers at that. But hey, there's more than just surf alone, that brings a smile.

Nothing but another gorgeous sunrise. Wind forecasted to pick up tonight. Maybe tomorrow.

Didn't believe it so I just had to see for myself. Yep ... no A BIG YEP ... or howabout a big itchy YEP, sealice or back. Surfed Boca (sealice central) this morning. Knee to thigh to rare waist and very funable. BUT, I am now covered in beg red welts. Will I do it again tomorrow? Hell yeah! Maybe Seacliff will show this time ....

April 16 April 17 April 18

Good stuff out there this morning. Solid waist, with chest high sets ever 10 to 15 mintues. Started out dumping hard, but was cleaning up as we got out of the water. Yes, there are lice. If you don't like a good itch, don't bother. Otherwise, get some now. It's not going to last much longer.

Flat Flat and still. Look upcoast.

Surf N from 7 - 10 with the core group. Anywhere from knee to head high. No one out. S A A A W E E T. Full session pics to come later.

At home, sunny now, E wind @ 10mph. Light unrideable chop.

East wind steady at 10 to 15 and forecast to continue through day. Rideable knee to thigh chop. Although rideable surf is better than no surf, it's just not what we're looking for. No swell as of yet. Should fill in later. Will update through out the day.

Surfed 6 - 8 a little N of here. Semi-glass waist to head plus swell. Almost no one out. Light off-shore breeze. Couldn't ask for much more. On ride home Boca was beginning to look real fun. Swell starting to show here in N. Broward.

April 22 April 23 April 24

Surfed a little N of home. Glassy knee to thigh swell. Waist high set every so often. No one out. Itchy but no complaints.

Not here. Wind may pick up later. Unrideable. One sunrise bomb after another. Best of luck to the South Florida boys in the Southeast Regional Championships this weekend in New Symrna Beach. We are sending 15 competitors from our South Florida District. In particular, best of luck to Kurt Massinello, no one kills it quite like LIQUID ADDICTION!!!
April 25 April 26 April 27
Not rideable here, but I'd be sure to check your local chop spot. SE wind @ 15+.

A core only morning. Max knee high dribblets. Occasional heavy rain showers, sparks .... you name it. Great morning to hang with a few friends. Rideable for the clinically insane.

Glassy flat with an unrideable South line. Still.

Flat. Results from the ESA Southeast egional's. Men's division: Matt Oberman 4th Place. Masters Longboard: Kurt Massinello 6th place. Senior Longboard: Roray Kam 1st Place. This is a Big win for Roray, being the number one senior longboarder in Florida, and beating the number one US Longboard Champion. This is the first time a surfer from South Florida has ever won at the regionals in any division. Big congratulations to all South Florida ESA competitors.
Hazy, humid and flat. Find another sport. Overcast with light 10 mph SE breeze. Unrideable now.
