December 01 December 02

December 03

Skunky flatness. Very small lines beginning to show a few ticks up the road. Unrideable for now.

Unrideable here. Best wave is to the south. Knee to thigh and rideable.

Flat here waves homeward.

December 04 December 5 December 06

Coming to you this morning from WaterColor in Seagrove Beach, FL, which right next to Seaside. Surf is a disorganized thigh to waist high mess. Water temp is in the mid-60's and although there are boards, there are no rentable wetsuites to be had. Will be reporting from here for the next three days. Glad to see you guys got the goods in PB yesterday. Hope you caught Chris's report. I'm sure he'll be dropping in again, if there's rideable surf in South Florida.

Southeast winds and FLAT in Lauderdale.

Coming to you this morning from WaterColor in Seagrove Beach, FL, which right next to Seaside. Continued disorganized mess, but thigh to waist high and rideable for those with a wetsuit and the time. Cold front is coming through today and the air temps are forecast to drop into the low 40s. It's heading your way South Florida. Prepare for a Wednesday chop fest.

Shots taken in Seaside. Flat and very cold here. Back in South Florida wind will start picking up today, and we should see sizeable chop beginning tomorrow and lasting into the weekend.

December 07 December 08 December 09

Shots taken at Seagrove, FL. Small ankle to knee high SE swell rolling in. Back in South Florida, I'm missing thigh to waist high wind chop. Will be back from the AM session tomorrow. Can't wait ...

Don't be fooled by the knee to thigh slop you see from shore. Thigh to waist to solid waist to plus on the sets. Real fun. Should hold for another 24 hours. Go surf!

Thigh to plus. Not as good as yesterday, but still plenty rideable. Soon to go flat until the next cold front, so grab it while you can.

December 10 December 11 December 12

Charge it now! Knee to thigh here. Waist high a few minutes up the road. Peeling and Glaaaaassssy. No one out. Grab a few for me ...

Heavy fog with a background swell still rolling in on a glassy Atlantic. Unrideable here, but maybe knee to plus at another break. South wind to rip it up soon.

Nada. Nothing. No bumps on the horizon. Skunked!

December 13 December 14 December 15

Small lines breaking on the sand. Looked good for the skimmers out there. Even better for the fishermen. Went for a run down the beach and the bait fish were going nuts. This swell is toast. Hope you were one of the fortunate few who caught some yesterday. The rest of the work week looks flat.

Flat

This morning falls into the shoulda, woulda, coulda, but didn't bucket. Rideable thigh to waist SE chop. Get it now before the wind slows and goes west.

December 16 December 17 December 18

No guilty feeling sleeping in this moring. F l a t . . . .

Light onshore breeze, moderate temp and dry, making for a sporting beach day for our snowbird friends. Unrideable for us. This weater pattern is getting old.

Congats to the Potts family on the their new addition, Justin!

South wind started to pick up shortly after first light. Maybe marginally rideable soon.

December 19 December 20 December 21

Caught everyone's favorite (or least) spot in S. PBC with no one out this AM. Semi-clean and consistent thigh to waist high swell with rare chest high sets. Definitely picking up before getting out of the water. From what I hear, the tide has it now, but I think the fun has just begun....

Knee to thigh high disorganized swellage, but better than it looks. What's your other option? Christmas shopping. Go surf!

Did about an hour of car surfing and about an hour of surfing knee high swell. Still thinking it might pick up. Time will tell.

December 22 December 23 December 24

This morning was a bit of a buzz kill. Car surfed around locally for about 45 minutes, and by the time we decided up the road was the place to be my clock had run out. Locally inconsistent lines breaking much like yesterday. Up the road waist high and similar to about three days ago. Chris to be updating pics later on this morning

Go shopping!

Chris here with a post session update.
After the Broward session I headed north a few miles and found a wave in the most unlikely spot. Sometimes it doesn't pay to rely on cams. Bottom row are from this morning!!!

Repeat, go shopping!
December 25 December 26 December 27

Merry Christmas everyone! No surf. Today is family day and tomorrow presents!

No repeat of 3 yrs ago, at least not yet. Complete skunkage! Absolutely still prior to sunrise. Now, a light N breeze and flat. No bumps on the horizon. Plenty of energy hitting the buoys, but unless the winds change this day after Christmas is going to amount to nothing more than a perfect snowbird beach day.

Ankle to knee + at home. Waist high just a few minutes up the road. No surf for Shrimp this AM. Look for a Chris update with real pics in a few.

Chris here with a PM update. Nothing to special ...better luck next front.

December 28 December 29 December 30

Flat with a toe high background swell.

10 to 15 mph SW wind and cooler. If it was a normal winter, I'd say we'd have waves in the next 24 hours. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...
December 31
Flat, sunny and still. A perfect non-surf beach day. Keep it safe tonight and live to surf another day .... or, at least, to have a license to drive to your local break.
