February 03

Not that rideable now, but that will soon change as the SE wind continues to pick up to the 20+ range.  Tomorrow it will turn SW and back off some.

Very funable SE swell out there for the taking, breaking consistently in the thigh to waist high range with bigger sets every 5 to 10 minutes. Plenty of long rides to be had, and definitely more for the LFers. For us non-goofy footers, it was a friggen blast.  It's hard to say how long it will last, but it appeared to be picking up.  Go surf !!!

Nothing special happening out there today.  Rest up.  You're going to need it.  Swell, chop, chopaswell ... can't say what it'll be, but I can say that starting tomorrow there will be waves for many days to come ....

February 4 February 5 February 06

Knee high, dark and drizzly.  A great morning to sleep in (sure wish I did), and to check back later.  NE wind is suppose to blow at 15 to 20, so you would think there would be chop by this evening.   We'll see ...

Waist to chest with a hard N wnd. Find shelter and you might score, unlike I did.

CLEAN waist high with bigger sets early on. GET IT WHILE IT LAST!!!
Gallery is updated from this morning.

Small rideable SE chop.  Kites all over it.  Wind forecast to die off tonight, so hit it now.  Cold front coming mid-week.   Sorry no pic update, camera batter croaked on me....

Glass flat. Looks to stay flat for the next week or so.

Flat!!

February 10 February 11 February 12

Shrimp is back from spending the past week in Watercolor, FL.   The above pics were taken this morning in Seaside.  I'll return to South Florida's flatness tomorrow.   Unfortunately, nothing is going to change until maybe mid next week.  Thanks Chris for all the updates!!!!

Flat with hope for chop tomorrow.   NE wind will pick up today into tomorrow.   Leave the board at home for now, but Monday and Tuesday should be rideable.

Rainy and unrideable.  The wind was howling there for a while last night, until the rain arrived.  Wind is still forecast to blow strong today before backing off and turning to the S tonight.   Maybe, you never know, there will be rideable waves later today ...

February 13 February 14 February 15

Waist + SE chop.   Not near as fun as the above pics make it look.  Later half of this week is looking good ...

Flat and unrideable as it has been the past six years.  I smell conspiracy!    Anyhow, do your V Day other right today. Cold front (s) are soon to arrive ....

Very flat.

A little something but not rideable aka skunkage. Keep checking those cams.

Flippen cold and no swell. The wind forecast does look a little better than yesterday, so maybe the skunk will go back to where he came from. For now, no surf ...
NOON UPDATE

.... 20 minutes up the road there is a loggable wave. I surfed from 7 till 11:30. By the time I left the lower tide was making it a little more consistent.

NW wind is now really picking up steam.  Easily 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts, and this is just the beginning. Blue skies are filling in, but no swell .... yet.  Don't take your eyes off those cams!!!!

February 19 February 20 February 21

Thigh to waist high swell. High tide is not helping things out at all, but swell may be filling in, so I think there is still hope. Go surf.

All is caput!  I hope you got your fill.  The rest of week looks lame!  Maybe chop this coming weekend ...

Almost a rideable background swell early on, but almost aint good enough.   Flat, and it's going to stay that way for the next few days.
