Rideable early this AM, but the wind is about puffed out.  Barely scrapable now.  This week looks very lame.  If were're lucky maybe some rideable chop for Friday.   Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Very flat.

10mph SE breeze and no surf.

10 to 15 mph SE breeze, which is forecast to pick-up later on tonight. Look for a quick pop of rideable chop tomorrow. The forecast still looks lame.

Rideable but nothing to write home about.  Cold front finally is appearing on the horizon (Tuesday).   Maybe our weather pattern will change for the better next week.  Trying to stay optimistic ....

Summer-like conditions with nothing going on until mid next week.

Small rideable SE chop.  Kites all over it.  Wind forecast to die off tonight, so hit it now.  Cold front coming mid-week.   Sorry no pic update, camera batter croaked on me....

Today is the final day of our mini- summer.   Cold front coming through later, and we should have surf of some variety soon.

Flat with light NW wind.   Much cooler and drier.  Wind is forecast to blow 15 to 20 mph out the the N today and tonight.  It's hard to say what we will have as far rideable surf today and tomorrow morning.  You never know maybe small lines will show soon, but I have my doubts.  The wind will turn more to the E tomorrow and we should have rideable chop for the rest of the work week.

Local thigh to waist high swell.  Off-shore breeze.   Cool air / warm water.   Need I say more ....

Unable to swing a session this morning, but there's plenty of good surf out there for the taking, if you're a chop head ....

Today's waves started out, as Chris would say, craptacular.   But, it was definitely on the way up when I got out of the water.  Call it, waist to plus wind swell.   For those who charge it, plan on picking up a few red itchy welts.   Baby MOWs are out.

It's hard to believe looking out there right now, or even before paddling out, but it was real fun early on for the first 30 minutes or so.  Then, it crapped out.  Waves should continue today, before possibly dying out tonight.  Oh yes, once again, chances are you will get stung.

Wind scraps.   I'll pass.   No surf until maybe the 2nd half of the week, if we're lucky ...

I don't even want to look out my window. A very solid swell is beginning to fill in. Completely missed it this morning. Now off to work. Get some for me, please ....

I wouldn't call it going off, but it was pretty darn close.   Four to five wave sets every five minutes or so, breaking anywhere from waist to chest high.  About 20 people out where we surfed with plenty of wave to go around.  Completely still. All other local breaks are completely empty but definitely working.  Charge it!

Faaalatttt.  Wind may pick up later this weekend for some rideable chop.  Next week's looking real good.  Winter may come afterall!

Perhaps a little SE chop.   No more than knee high now, but maybe bigger later before dying off again tonight.

Foggy and flat.  Cold front to sit on us through most of the day.  Change may be on the way ....

Knee to thigh high on the sets up and down the road.  Well, down the road in SOBE looks much bigger.   Anyhow, lets hope it has still yet to fill in. I have the day off so that's what I'm hoping.  Check back later for pics from this AM.  Above pics from the backyard, where it is not happening.

Surprisingly fun waist to chest high chop early on.  Look like crap now with the high tide, but may turn on again soon.  Wind will turn SE and pick up a little through the day before turning S tonight.  Then W tomorrow.  Yes, another strong cold front is on the way.  Hopefully, this one will do us right!

South wind swell in the works.    I blew my window of opportunity, but that doesn't mean you have to.  Charge it while it lasts.   Check back later for pics.

Waist to + to ++ swell.  Clean until sunpop then the N wind started doing some damage to real fun waves, still no complaints. Go surf noww!!!
