July 03

Wind picked up again after midnight. Presently, blowing at 10 to 15. Me, myself and I surfed from 6 - 7am. Knee to thigh high shore thumpers. Just off low tide, the incoming push made what probably would not have been rideable at any other time pretty fun. One little ride after another.

Ankle to knee choplets.

Sunny hot and flat.

Nice little change in the marine forecast .... looking for a pick-up to 10 to 15 later today and 3 to 5 ft seas throughout the weekend. Lets hope this forecast holds and we have some weekend chop to play on. Presently light breeze and plenty of sun.

A stoked LIQUID ADDICTION is representing his South Florida brothers in the final heat in the Nationals on Sunday!!! Yes, our boy has made it to the final four!!! Hope to get some pics up later in the day. Will update ...

Surfed 7:30to 10am. Started out at thigh high but quickly picked up to solid waist plus with chest high drops. Started funking up when we got out of the water, probably due to the tide. Plenty of wind on it and should only get better. Presently, overcast and raining. Definitely not a beach day - surf only. Go get some.

As Of 4pm: Wind has backed off some, but the surf is still rolling in. Thigh to waist high

Surfed 6:30 to 9am. Best at daybreak at waist high to chest high on sets. Waves quickly backed off, became disorganized, dropping to thigh to waist high shore dump. This session is going to haunt me for quit a few days - got annihilated by sealice. I am a friggen magnet for the shit, so if you're like me, watch out. Presently, E wind @ 15+ and kiters hitting like champs at my place.

Surfed 6 - 7:30am. Anywhere from knee to waist + shore dumpage. Session cut short due to two sizeable black tip sharks feasting on a buffet of bait fish. Hard to say if I picked up any sealice since I'm literally covered head to toe. Wind E @ 10 to 15.

Knee plus and rideable before daybreak. Chose not to go for the solo mission. Being a magnet for sealice the blankets of sea weed (see pics) did not look inviting. Solid 10 to 15 mph SE wind.

10+ mph E wind. Barely knee high. Rideable for the extremedesperhardcore longboarder.

Congratulations to our South Florida surf brothers, Roray Kam and Kurt Massinello (LIQUID ADDICTION), for placing 3rd in Senior and 2nd in Masters Longboard divisions at the US Surf Championships in Oceanside, CA this past weekend.

5 to 10 mph SE wind. Zero rideability. Winds and seas forecasted to pick up. Keep an eye on it. Maybe rideable later & tomorrow AM. 5 mph SE wind. Zero rideability. Continued 10 to 15 mph E wind. Great beach afternoon. Never seen so many kite boards out before. The sport is really taking off (no pun intended). Wind and sun should hold through the weekend. Looking forward, possible waves producing tropical fluff maybe mid-weeek. Don't get your hopes up, still too far out.
July 13 July 14 July 15

Thigh plus fun choplets. E wind still blowing.

Surfed 6 to 7:30am. Knee plus. Not as good as yesterday but rideable. Looking for improvement. Wind forecast to blow 15 mph. Catch some!!

AM session gone bust. E wind @ 5+. What once looked like a good week of chop is yet another bunk forecast memory. 5 to 10 mph breeze here on out.

Flat. Flatness prevails.

Flatness stacked on flatness as far as the eye can see. Vacationers doing curls with jugs of water on the beach. Welcome to the Broward twilight zone. I'm outta here for a few days.... LIQUID ADDICTION will taking the helm while I'm away. LIQUID! LIQUID! LIQUID! LIQUID!

Check out this week's Sun Sentinel feature on LIQUID ADDICTION !!!

Breakfast is served and it's a pancake.

A special thank you to LIQUID ADDICTION for updating the site while I was away.

Wind died shortly before sundown last night. Lake Atlantic. Light variable breeze.

N and C Broward was not working at high tide just before sunrise. Settled a little N of Broward at ex-Shrimpville. Deceivingly dismal from shore, but very fun knee plus chop once out. Had a great time. At home, solid 15+ SE wind. Looks good for the next few days. Go grab yourself some!

Light SE wind. Neither surfable or kiteable. Maybe a little weekend chop on the way...

Surfed N of Palm Beach from 7:30 - 10. Weak thigh plus leftovers. Heard it was not much better a little further N. Returned home and surfed knee to thigh wind chop from 11:30 to 1:30. Real fun and packing some thump on the sand bar. Still looking good. Catch some while it lasts.

Typical South Florida summer beach day. Ankle to knee high SE wind chop. Rideable in your choice desperation breaks.

Flatness. Flatness reigns supreme. Bug hunters pitching tent every 200 yds or so on Lake Atlantic. It's mini season!

Humid, flat and still. Mosquito paradise
