| Unrideable swellettes plopping up on shore. Today is Mardi Gras day! A creole high holy day! Grab a beer and a bag of beads, get out on your balcony or roof and scream obnoxious comments at your neighbors. | Painfully flat. | Yet another perfect beach day. |

| For the birds. | Hope you caught last night's light show. Pretty intense stuff. Extreme flatness this AM. Good for stone skipping .... | Just back from a long jog on the beach. Few mushy knee high S lines trickeling in here and there, but nothing worth while. Presently, clouds rolling in with the rain looking not so far off. Upcoast is the only option. |

The above pics are of SALSA's Spring Contest aka THE MONSTER. The waves were solid waist to chest to head on sets - very solid quality surf! A great time was had by all. If you live in South Florida and are not a member of SALSA, you are truly missing out. For $30, you get a free rash guard and are wired in to surf events, detailed forecasts, trips and a dedicated group of guys with a common interest as yours - surf. Personally, I cannot say how impressed I am with the addition to SALSA of the Greenback members. Greenbacks are surfing's finest. Some may see a Greenback in the line up, and get a kick out of retro gear or contemplate whether a person of their father or grandfather's age should even be paddling out. Well sonny, these geezers can surf circles around most of us. And, what sets them apart from the rest, is the class they exhibit in and out of the water. These guys are the shit. |
As of 8AM, there's a light S chop with an accompanying S breeze. Not rideable. | Wouldn't you know the first sign of summer zoomed by me as I was taking pics of our flat surf this morning. You may or may not remember the signs of summer, as outlined last year: 1. Turtles, turtle nests, turtle people 2. Surfer's invisible itchy nemesis - SEA LICE 3. (Followed by) Eternal flatness I have to say I enjoyed the rights of summer much more in Boca. The turtle person that buzzed me was in the form of a turtle dude. I'm just not into the turtle dude scene. Much more prefer Boca's turtle girls.... |

| Humid and near flat. | Hazy sunshine with light SE wind, which is forecast to pick up to 15 - 20. Surf is looking good this evening through possibly Sunday. Will update later. | Surfed knee high scaps from 6 - 7:30AM. Beautiful morning and sunrise. Knee high, waist high, chest high ... don't matter, no better way to start the day. Wind forecast to blow 15+. Another bunk forecast. Max 10mph at the moment. If you got the local jonz, grab some now. |

Surfed N from 6:30 - 9:30. Had the privilege of surfing with a local South Florida surf web celebrity, TC. Very mellow dude and one hell of a surfer (see top L & M pics). Surf was solid waist with chest high sets. I pulled some serious ariel acrobatics in my "watch shrimp get pitched" routines. Probably ate it on 3 out of 4 waves I took off on. On other words, there were alot of close-outs. But, if you picked your wave right, there were also some killer rides to be had (see pics). |
Surfed up N from 8 - 11. Knee to thigh left over chopped up scaps. Nothing special and definitely not drive worthy. At home, presently light breeze with light chop. One kite board setting up on the beach. Today's pics are all SFLA members. |
Overcast and much cooler. Wind out of the N at 10+. It appears as if summer has loosened its grip on South Florida. Present forecast calls for 10 - 15 N wind today and tonight. Possible Tuesday AM session ??? |

| In a shocker, the wind did not blow as forecasted last night. Current puffing from the N @ 10mph. Light chop with a NE dribble wind swell. Absolutely undrideable. Cool and dry. Great day for a run on the beach, but that's about it. | Just back from a local wave hunt with Liquid Addiction. No game. What little swell left in the water is knocked down / crossed up by a E wind. Unrideable. Guess I'll take my caffeine / six-gun sugar buzz for a run. Picks in about an hour.8am update: 15mph E wind. If it holds, should have rideable surf by noon. Possible Thursday AM session ... |
Strong SE wind, blowing 15 - 20mph. No surf ... yet, but already building. By noon, should be golden with the addition of the falling tide. Get some. |

A great morning to be alive. Cool, sunny, with knee high residual swellettes and .... tarpon. If you didn't catch it early, it's spent now, but don't sweat it, the real goods could be just a few days away. |
Flat. It's an upcoast day. Today's pics of Liquid Addiction team rider Titus Massinello. | Light SW breeze. Cool and mostly cloudy. No surf. Patience, surf is on the way ... Will be updating as conditions change. |

Drove N early, then headed back home for better waves. Fun knee to waist high swell. Powerful N wind beginning to cross things up. Size seems to be on the increase. I would try to catch it early, before the wind makes a mess out of things. |
