| Thigh to waist mushy chop. Wind still blowing at 11 to 15 mph, and should continue for the next day or so. |
Thigh to waist high but much more fun than yesterday. As a South Floridian, embrace the responsibility placed on you by the rest of the nation (and surf community) and take the time to vote. I'm voting BUSH!!! |
Nothing doing surfwise this AM. SE wind @ 11+. Great morning for a run / walk in the sand, but that's about it. Beginning to look very up for this coming weekend .... |

| Max knee high rideable. 5 to 15 SE breeze. | Still and flat, with an approaching cold front ... | Overcast, cool and dry with a micro swell dribbling in. Knee high, some bigger, many smaller. Taking a look at the Jupiter cam, it looks as if the wind is on its way. Look for building chop. Should be rideable surf for quit some time. |

I think I cursed us with my highly optimistic forecast yesterday evening. Walked out this monring to what I thought was to be a quick trip back to bed. But, following the white water rule, and after about an hour of beach time, I finally went out. Actually, pretty fun clean knee to occasional plus waves with a light NW wind. Presently, there is still a micro swell in the water but the N wind is beginning to chop things up. Hard to say what the call is over the next 24 hours. If anything, maybe some thigh high chop by tomorrow morning. Beautiful beach day today .... |
A completely unrideable cool Fall morning. |
Carbon copy of yesterday. Tomorrow will be a different animal all-together. Big change coming our way .... fortune cookie. |

Plenty of meat with them potatos this morning. Wind blew harder last night than I can remember it blowing during any of the hurricanes. Prepare for a hard paddle out and a beating or three. It's chest to overhead on the sets with a S drift. BIG! Should get better with the changing tide. Play safe ! |
Waist to chest high power chop. Good to see you Mr. Seacliff (top row)! |
Knee to maybe thigh plus chop. Body needed a 24 hour surf hiatus, so didn't go out this AM. Big change is just a day or two away. Rest up. You're going to need it! |

| Absolute flatness, and still. Some sun, but mostly cloudy, so not much of a beach day either. | Not what the doctor ordered or the patient expected. Essentially flat. Wind on the increase and still mostly out of the East at a consistent 15 mph. Looks like some good kite boarding and the boys are beginning to set up in the backyard. Hope you were one of the fortunate who had enough brains in their head (full of marbles here) to drive 45 minutes upcoast yesterday to score near perfect waist to chest. Anyhow .... we got surf, beginning later today and probably lasting for the next 5 days! | Sought shelter early and there was no shelter to be sought. So, as you might expect with a 30+ wind, serious power chop with a moderate S drift .... don't even think of getting caught in the inside. But, once out, chest with plenty of plus. |

Looking for the taste of something sweet, went Pineapple picking this AM. Unfortunately, it was well picked over last night and this morning's leftovers were not so fresh. Still, a fun session, breaking anywhere from thigh to waist plus. |
Almost didn't go out, and boy would that have been a mistake. One of those great to be alive, surf mornings .... a never ending perfect sunrise, perfect cool Fall temp, warm (but cooling off) water, and a thigh plus leftover swell that was definitely picking up as we got out of the water. Get some now! More pics later this evening ... |
Not too happy with myself at the moment. Yesterday, I floundered with the idea of going upcoast today prior to work, and in the end chose not to, thinking the swell would sputter out overnight. Well, looking at the cams, that was not the case, and only to compound my frustration, in the backyard there's still swell in the water. Sure looks alot like yesterday at the moment, and that was pretty darn fun. At the right break, you should find a semi-clean knee to thigh high swell. Hope someone grabbed some.... |

All is gone for South Florida. Nada surf, and this boy is out of here for a week-plus much needed vacation. If possible, I may drop in from time to time with some shots from Hilton Head Is., SC. Your daily update will be conducted by your brother in surf above. Thanks man!!!! |

| Flat with maybe a knee high ripple here and there. |
Flat in Lauderdale. | Sorry about the site melt down while I was away - have some virtual garbage that needs to be hauled away. Anyhow, up and running now. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I did, along with some much needed downtime.Out back there's a very small underlying swell creeping in under knee to thigh wind chop. Nothing to break a leg running out for, but there's surf, that I will return to if it sticks around another day, which is debatable. |
