| Beautiful October morning. Light SE wind and a tad drier and cooler than past days. Not rideable this morning, but maybe over the weekend. They have toned down the wind forecast, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see 15+ wind Saturday and maybe Sunday night. We'll see ... |
Rideable knee to thigh SE wind chop. Should stick around for another day or so. |
Consistent 10 to 15 mph SE wind continues to blow. Thigh to occasional waist high on the sets. Fun chop. Great day out to boot. Head East! |

Waist plus chop, breaking with a vengance. First sighting of moon jellyfish ... Fall has arrived. Go get wet! |
Not what you'd expect with a 20+ SE wind. Maybe a tide thing? Inconsistent waist to plus, and, once again dumping. Should be around for another do or so. Go surf.
|
Should have surfed this morning, but didn't. Thigh plus, and soon to come to an end. Go grab a few for me! |

| Flat with perhaps some background swell from upcoast. Completely unrideable. | Had an early morning engagement in the worlds biggest sandbox with the Creolette, so no surf for me. Ankle to knee plus swell on glass. Should be rideable in your choice small swell on glass breaks ... | If you're thinking surf, check back tomorrow. It maybe a different Atlantic. At least, I'm sure hoping it is. As far as today goes, light surface chop, drizzle and overcast. Just not a pretty picture ... |

Looks like we're getting the skunk out of the way. Throw that bad boy in a cage and send him up North. We don't need him around these parts. Flat with a slight unrideable N line from Broward through Central PBC. Keep an eye out, but it doesn't look good. |
Light E wind with unrideable chop. I bit warmer than yesterday, but still dry and seasonably cool. Great beach day. Way to go OWLS! FAU Fottball, 5 - 0. |
10+ SE breeze. Light chop. Unrideable for now. |

Flat and still. October is looking mighty lame thus far. Fear not, this weekend may just serve up a Fall treat. No trick. | Flat for now. |

| Lake Atlantic w/o a trace of swell. All should change within the next 24 hours. This weekend should be fun fun fun. | As I'm sure you have heard many times, life is full of important choices .... blah, blah, blah. Well, I think one of the most important choices one can make is .... where they surf. Today, I made the wrong turn, failed in my surf decision making and paid the price. Surfed the backyard this AM, which was breaking +/- knee high. If I would have made the right choice (or turn as I pulled out onto Ocean Blvd) and headed 25 minutes N, I would have caught clean waist to chest. Oh well, there's always tomorrow . Undefeated FAU Owls play today at Lockhart Stadium @ 4pm. Come out and show your support !!!! This proud Owl will be there! |
Started out at a very popular Central PBC break, which just wasn't happening. Stuck around for thirty minutes (much too long), then took to the road. Headed upcoast 20 minutes or so and settled at an often overlooked high tide break, which I had never surfed before. Waves were breaking waist to mostly chest high. Real fun with a good vibe in the water. Cool locals, plenty of waves to go around, dolphins playing in the break, perfect Fall weather ... everything clicking. Great morning of surf! At home, unrideable swell still showing. Hope you caught some. |

Work clothes packed, laptop ... everything a go for a venture upcoast this AM. Stayed local. At first walk out thought I had made yet another bad call with what looked knee high at best. Paddle out quickly confirmed the local call. Pounding waist to head high swell. Probably in the top ten surf days I have seen in the backyard. Around 7:45 moved a couple steps North (after bozo lifegarud showed dropping in on all locals w/o a brain in his head ... never seen anything like it). Surfed the mother break until job was at risk. Flippen awesome morning !Presently, GOING OFF. Some of the best surf I have ever seen here just before dark. AM !!!! .... !!!! |
Why travel North for mushed out waves and crowds, when you can explore local breaks that you haven't surfed in a long long time? Waist to overhead glassy waves and no one out for the first 40 minutes. Another awesome morning of surf. Swell on the way out so catch some now!Thigh to waist glass in the backyard as I type this report. |
Had a one year old's morning birthday celebration (The Creolette) to attend so no surf for me. Out back it's thigh plus chop with an underlying swell. |

Wasn't looking so appetizing in the backyard this morning, so did some trespassing a few mintues up the road. Chop with a consistent underlying thigh to waist high swell. Much more fun than it looks. Got probably one more day of the neverending swell. Get out there! |
If I wasn't stuck in my own personal hell (Coral Springs) until 8am, I would have definitely surfed this AM. Thigh plus chop. WTFN (why the f*ck not)??? |
Knee high rideable surf. Go Owls! |

Rideable knee plus chop. Kiteboarders tearing it up behind my place. Looks like we might have some rideable chop in the knee to waist high range over the next couple days. Cold front coming down late next week, but that's too far off....Today may not be the best surf day, but it's HUGE for those dawn patroling zombies (you know who you are) out there. Pre-work morning surf time has doubled!!!! |
