Rainy morning. Perhaps a little swell in the water, but not rideable. Hard to say what is going to happen in the next 24 to 48 hours. Probably the best shot of swell would be tomorrow before the N wind gets on it. Check out shrimpcreole.com in page 25 of this weeks The New Times! |
Great session this morning. Surfed 7 til 9:30. Consistent thigh to occasional waist high semi- glassy swell. Plenty of wave / paddle til your arms drop off sorf ot session. Only reason got out was due to heavy rain. Rain has stopped now and it has completely glassed off. Perfect little waves coming in. Get on it before the wind does! |
Looked like dog doo at first light, but after wind died down it got fun. Consistent thigh to waist high N swell breaking fast on the sand bar. Felt like fall ... with the rain it was actually chilly walking out. Mother Atlantic warmed things up fast. Should stick around for another day or so. Go surf! |

| Yesterday was real fun, the day before was even better, but today took the cake. Solid glassy waist high N swell. Slamming hard in about 2 feet of water. No complaints here. Go surf! |
About 1/2 to 3/4 the size of yesterday, but no less fun. Glassy N swell continues to roll in. Right break / right tide and hit it! FAU Owls playing Oklahoma tonight at Dolphin stadium. Come on out !!!! |
Time for what I think (hope) is a short break in surf. Still a dribble of swell in the water but unrideable. I would definitely keep an eye on the cams and be ready to hit it as the storm begins to move off the coast. Support hurricane relief efforts tonight by coming out to the Culture Room for the Jam for Humanity Concert featuring FOURTH DIMENSION, SOSOS, JOEL DASILVA, SWEETLEAF SYNDICATE, J.P. SOARS & BILLY VASQUEZ !!!! |

| Did a little starlight session this morning form 5:45 to 7am. Knee to thigh high with waist high sets every 20 minutes or so. Clean and glassy. Should fill in through the day. Not enough light for the camera. Pics from Chris to come later. 10:30 update: Swell is up and down, but for the most part on the way up. Sets up to chest high. Pics by Chris & LA. Thanks guys! |
One of the best days of this hurricane season. Solid head to plus high. Glassy. Go surf now! |
Thigh high mush out back, so took a drive a few minutes up the road this am. Scored solid waist to chest high swell. Head high sets. About 3/4 the size of yesterday. A good amount of bait fish in the water and got covered with jellfish welts. But no big deal, still plenty of swell in the water so hit it! Probably have another 24 hours of waves until our quarter runs out. Way to go Dolphins! Looks like we have a real team this year! |

Had two options this morning: 1) Head 20 minutes N to surf thigh to waist with 60 of my not so best friends or 2) head 15 minutes S to surf consistent thigh to plus less 54 of my not so best friends. Had a great time caught about 20 + waves in a little over an hours time. Mostly closing out but still real fun. Glassy and clean. Swell seemed to be dying as we got out. Hit it now or wait for the next swell. Today my be the end of our run. |
The swell that doesn't die. After an hour of car surfing in South Palm Beach, returned home and scored. Started out knee to thigh and half way through the session picked up to solid waist high with an occasional chest high set. More fun than yesterday. Only down side to the morning were the jellyfish, which completely saturate the water. Who cares! Check the cams and give it a go at low tide. |
The swell has yet to die, and is rideable in some spots. With a sick wife, an early morning vanishing act was not in my best interest. Time to rest up. Chop fest to begin in a few days! |

Flat for now, maybe a little something later Sunday. STOLEN SURFBOARD: 8.10 Silverback/Badlandz with Black stipes on the Bottom Yellow Deck. This board was stolen at Delray Beach off the back of the owner's truck. Information, write me! Stolen board can Be Returned No Questions asked at LIQUID ADDICTION SURF SHOP. |
Flat and unrideable. Our little tropical fluff is not looking so choppable for tomorrow as it did a day ago. Time will tell. The shrimpcreole investment committee cracked the pig wide open and sprung for a new camera. So look out! shrimpcreole.com and southfloridasurf.com pics are on steroids from here on out. | Unrideable now, soon to change. |

Waist plus chop. Was have a great time ... until I got popped by my board and broke my nose. Looks like I may be out of the water for a while, but the picks and updates will keep coming. We should have some real fun chop over these next few days. Look for the size to at least double. Go surf! |
Well, it's big, but I don't know if I'd call it fun. Head high power chop with a pretty good S drift. |
Chest high chop. Short board special! If you take a log out, prepare for a beating. Looks like we have at least one more day of surf left ... maybe more. September continues to deliver. |

Waist high chop. Not near as good as yesterday, but just as dumpy. Wind is forecast to back off a little bit more into the 10 to 15, flip of a coin if rideable range for the rest of the week. Click the banner below and check out the Reggae Surf Part this Friday at Revolution! |
Still plenty rideable, thigh to waist high. | Repeat, still plenty rideable, thigh to waist high. |

Light chop with a completely unrideable background swell. Head upcoast for waves, maybe a little further than yesterday. |
Flat. | Rainy morning on the beach. No surf. Maybe some rideable chop later over the weekend into next week. Kiss September goodbye, probably our best month so far this year. |
