Surfed 6:30 to 9:30. Ankle to knee +. Plentiful wind swell scraps. Wind died overnight but the wind / thunderstorm swell continues. Very powerful rainstorm with 30 to 40 mph wind just rolled through. One of the strongest storms I've seen since living here. If you are nearby, it may be worth a trip. Otherwise, don't bother. Should not last. |
Still. Thunderstorm train rumbling just offshore, soon to pull in. Glassy, knee to knee plus wind swellettes continue and I'm fully irritated. Rice crispy's and Red Bull, while typing a 7:30 am surf report is not the morning diet I'm looking for. But, I am unable to surf this AM, and will not bore you with the pathetic reason why. Sorry, no pic update today. My camera caught pneumonia while taking the upper L pic, and passed away last night (2 down in 2 weeks ... epidemic proportions). LIQUID ADDICTION can you come to the rescue ?!?! On the upside, I hereby declare the Summer Surf Season HISTORY. See ya! The Atlantic hurricane season is on the march. We've had almost a solid week of small scale chop, and the weather pattern has begun to turn to the Fall page. Toss your chosen form of surfer's Prozac in the trash and your quiver, life, and book of excuses in order. The tide has turned. |
Still. Flat. Absolutely no sign of swell in Broward County. Buoys are beginning to pick up. If you have time, it might be worth heading up coast. My camera caught pneumonia while in the line of duty on Labor Day, and passed away that night (2 down in 2 weeks ... epidemic proportions). LIQUID ADDICTION can you come to the rescue ?!?! Pics maybe updated shortly, if not, I will be back up tomorrow. |

Traveled a few miles N this AM. Surfed 6:15 - 8:30. Started out thigh plus glassy swell. Some fun lines, but mostly close outs. Good 15 to 20 minute wait between sets. No one out. Waves diminished to max knee high (bottom R) before getting out of the water. Oil glass flat here in Broward. Head North! |
Beautiful South Florida beach morning, if you aint a surfer. Cyan blue sky, and bath tub flatness as far as the eye can see. Great boating / diving / snorkeling day. Waves continue upcoast, but add another 30 to 60 minutes to your drive time. Not updating pics today. Time to bask in the memory of close-outs of days past. | Surfed a little N of Palm Beach from 7 to 10am. Waist to chest on sets, rare bigger. May not have been the quality surf, you've been reading about the past few days, but I had a blast. And, there was no one out! Suppose the boys went N, fine by me ..... At home, flatness, SW wind @ 15+. Cloudy. |

Summer slipping to Fall beach day perfection. Sunny, hot (but not as hot as past weeks), and humid. Flat, flat, flat. Ahhh, but as I said a few days back, Summer Doldrums are behind us. This coming week it's South Florida's turn !!!!!!! A special thanks to Rhettro for today's pics. I have entered the long and tedious dig camera adoption process, so my best surf friends will be the main morning pic contributors for the following days / sessions to come. |
Rhettro report: Sunrise wasn’t a blotter core but catching the 2 fin shots were cool. There was a NE trace swell showing at times, possibly a fluke but there were a couple of despercore rideables that rolled in. SC report: no trace here. Flat, still, sunny and beautiful out. | Rhettro report: Light wind out of the NE…..not rideable. Maybe another day. As for now, just try to enjoy knowing that winter is on it’s way. SC report: ankle high N swell lines washing up on the beach early on, now 10 + NE wind with a light grain on the water and no visible swell. Noticeably cooler this morning. Awesome beach running weather with no rideable surf distraction. |

el pancako in these parts. Another cool Fall-like morning. Maybe Palm Beach North. A special thanks to Rhettro for today's pics. Killer shots! |
Took a drive a few minutes N and surf 6 to 8AM. Small inconsistent knee high swell. Better before sunrise. Backwash and high tide taking a lot out of it. Small unrideable lines showing in the backyard. Maybe Sobe? Definitely Palm Beachs. Need Memory for Digital Camera ??? xD Memory Cards For Sale !!!! |
Same trip a little N this morning, yielding similar conditions as yesterday. Maybe a little more consistent. Incredible sunrise. Waves also in the backyard, so you may want to check your local breaks before heading up the road. Today's pics shot with the new camera. I think we have a winner! |

Hello Isabel! Surfed not too far N of home this morning. Waist to chest to head high swell. Very fun early on, before the wind and tide did a number on it. Unrideable Lines continue to roll though in the backyard. NE wind @ 10 to 15mph. A few kites out. |
Surfed the AM. Disappointing, chopped up and dropping swell. No waves or swell in N Broward. Today's Seapest: Blue crusher in the above shot!!! Dear Blue crusher and other beginning surfers, if you see someone on a wave, don't drop in. If you do, say your sorry and try not to drop in on the next guy (bottom M shot ... I was the previous guy and definitely not the first), or better yet, just stay away from the pack and learn respect. |
Drove a little N this morning. Surfed 6:30 - 8am. Chest to overhead board breaking, leash snapping, powerful swell. Mostly closing out. Only a handful of guys out. Play safe! |

Took a drive a little N in the early hours. Nothing going. The door swung shut late last night. BUT, swell is beginning to show in North Broward. Surfed knee to knee plus swell at the home break. Better than anything to be found up North |
Endymion here. I will be filling in for SC the next few days. We surfed up and down Ocean Blvd from 6:30 until 10:30 this morning. Best surf found just short of Palm Beach, breaking chest high on sets, some bigger. Very easy waves. Practically no close-outs. Delray was a zoo central and not looking near as fun as points N and S. N swell filling in up and down the coast. Today is one of those days that you think of the most popular break, and don't go there. |

| Pics shot this morning. Presently overcast with a solid 10 to 15 SE wind. Heavy weather to the N. Kite boarders out. No surf. | Great day to go to work / school. Maybe some small chop to play on tomorrow morning, but we all know that can change .... | Track #1 skipped, and it should have been left off the record. Monday reprise. Go run, lift, whatever ... beach is not the place to be today. Maybe later in the week. |
