September 03

We are now in the most active month of the hurricane season .... and it's flat. Keep an eye out for an outside chance of N swell today.

Continued flatness.

Flat with rain on the way.

Labor Day September 5 September 06

Rain, rain, rain .... it's about to break loose here, and it looks like another washout for the day. No surf, but a small chance of some knee high chop tomorrow.

More flat and overcast weather. Maybe a little S chop sometime over the next 24 hours. Maybe not. Could get interesting later this week.

Flat. Showers off-shore. Check out prior Septembers in southfloridasurf.com and you'll see that historically this month is the beginning of our surf season. It's just waiting for it to happen that's so difficult.

Flat and sunny.

Flat and unrideable.

It's sunny out!!!! Get some while you can. Rain will probably return this afternoon. Of course, it's still flat. Weak high pressure will return early this coming week, which will increase our chance for small rideable wind chop.

September 10 September 11 September 12

No trace. Flat. Tuesday - Thursday looks like one big Florida party.

Flat locally. Head 90 minutes (or less) N for waves. This week's wave forecast couldn't look much better. Keep an eye on the cams.

If you like to run on the beach, it was a great morning. Realitively cool, 10 to 15 mph E wind .... real nice. If you like to surf, it F'n sucked. We got completely skunked this morning. No waves to be had from S. PBC down. If the wind stays on it (which we don't want), there should be rideable wind chop soon. It's easy to say "be patient", but when you've had a year as crappy as this one, the waiting game is a hard one to play. It should happen soon ...............

Skunked again on the homefront. 10 minutes up the road the swell was showing with thigh to waist high closeouts. I would have gone out, if there wasn't chop on it. Did not have time to drive any further N. But it sounds as if I was the only one who didn't. By 6:30am most of the parking was taken at everyones favorite S. PBC spot. Ocean Blvd. is a madhouse. 30 minutes up the road it's a little bigger than yesterday in the head high range but the wind is on it making conditions not so pretty.

Knee + and dontbotherable locally. Took a ride 20 minutes up the road. Waist to chest high semi glassy swell. A little mushy on the outside and thumping on the inside. Wait can be up to 15 minutes between sets, but real fun. Crowd was not bad at all and there was good vibe in the water. Get some now before it's gone!

Very flat. It's done for South Florida. Soon it will be for C. FL, so I'd get up there if you can.

September 16 September 17 September 18

Sunny and flat. Still a little something leftover upcoast.

Light unrideable chop.

Beautiful fall like morning. Flat. Maybe some surf for the 2nd half of this week. My question is ... what's up with the Dolphins???

September 19 September 20 September 21

Flat and sunny.

Nice day out there. Just no surf. Early season cold front on it's way through, so we most likely will get some rain and then it's going to be dry for the next couple days. I'm also outta here for a few. Chris will be providing your updates, and it's a difficult call, but you may also score some waves. See ya ... Flat.
September 22 September 23 September 24

Nothing yet. Still and flat.

No waves now, maybe a little pick-up in the afternoons this weekend, but I'm not sure if it'll make the rideable range. Next real chance of surf we will have will be in the 2nd half of this coming week.

No surf now. No surf until, at least, the second half of the week.
