Fun waist high with bigger sets upcoast.

April 2, 10:30 am: Back to flat Jack. Yesterday was fun in Martin county ...Manatees, Dolphins, and Sharks, oh my. The only wild life we get in Southern South Florida beaches are cougars (Leather faced old ladies scamming on young bucks).
I have a gallery up from yesterday.

Shrimp hasn't been in his new place in Destin for more than a week and he already has a surf site. www.waltonsurf.com

Flat! Good day to go Paddleboarding.

Skunk-a-rise!

April 6, 7:30 am: Flat and gloomy. Looks like some time Saturday and into Sunday we will see waves. How far south is the question?

April 07 April 08 April 09

Went upcoast for some waist high mush. Me, the high tide, and the on shore winds all showed up at the same time.

Well, I went on my Easter wave hunt. Knee to thigh high sliders with the consistency of a hard boiled egg.
It was going flat by the time I left.

Flat. looks like something for next week.

Flat

April 12, 7:30 am: Still flat, flat and still, and still waiting.
The models are still holding for waves on monday and lasting a few days.

May 26, 2007: Life Rolls On's first ever official Florida event is coming to the hometown of 8x Surfing World Champion, Kelly Slater. On May 26, TWSA rolls into the Cocoa Beach, Florida.

April 13 April 14 April 15

April 13, 7:30 am: For real FLAT! The past couple of days has produced some waves at the right tides, but nothing to speak about in the mornings.

May 26, 2007: Life Rolls On's first ever official Florida event is coming to the hometown of 8x Surfing World Champion, Kelly Slater. On May 26, TWSA rolls into the Cocoa Beach, Florida.

April 14, 7:30 am: A little more than just surface chop out there this morning. It actually might get loggable around noon with the lower tide. The forecast is still looking good for Monday. Today might be the start of the south push before the hard NW winds start on Monday.

4:30 pm update: A couple waist high sets were coming in during low tide this afternoon. LIQUID has a gallery up from this afternoon.
Looks like Shrimp scored up in the panhandle. He has some shots up from today.

April 16 April 17 April 18

April 16, 8:00 am: Hope you didn't take the whole day off. The winds didn't clock around to the NW until 2am and the waves are just now stating to show up north. Give it a couple of hours and it should be longboardable throughout South Florida. Give it a few hours and it should be shortable.

5 pm update: After I updated the morning photos I went up to Palm Beach. It started off knee to waist and quickly got up to chest high. That is when I tweaked my back. As soon as I am down and out it started blowing the #%*@ up!!! After snapping the bottom right two pictures (and many more) I headed back to Broward to find it even bigger. The first four photos are in Broward on the outside reef over a half mile out from the beach. I shot those with a 500mm lens at the end of a pier and cropped the hell out of them. It was large and in charge out there!

I have a three page GALLERY up from today.

April 17, 8:00 am: If animosity killed the cat I would have gone through my nine lives this morning. Nothing worse than sitting on the beach watching your friends surf KILLER waist high waves while you are sitting there with a busted back taking pictures.
High tide has a hurtin on it now. If I could, I would definitely hit it between tides.

I have a three page GALLERY up from YESTERDAY!!!

LIQUID also has GALLERIES up from yesterday and this morning.

CHECK BACK LATER FOR MY BROKEN BACK GALLERY UPDATE FROM THIS MORNING.

April 18, 8:00 am: Still a little swell out there. Again with the morning high tide shutting it down. If the swell holds through the tide change you might find a thigh high wave.
Looks like waves for Friday and for a few days after.

April 19 April 20 April 21

April 19, 8:00 am: Flat!!!
We are still looking good for waves to start showing sometime tomorrow and lasting throughout the weekend. How far SOUTH is the big Question!?!

A shrimpcreole.com photo has made it into some of the Treasure Coast newspapers. Mad props to Justin Beard. Here is the link to his KILLER online article for the TCPalm. If you live in Martin co be on the lookout for the newspaper article.

Another SC.COM photo Made publication. Surfline did a spread on the Nor’easter Swell. Covering breaks from Miami to New England. HERE IS THE LINK!
I believe it is photo number 11 in their gallery. The surfer is Nader on the outside reef in Broward.
Here is my GALLERY from Monday.

April 20, 8:00 am: Flat enough!!! If the wave models have anything to do with it we should start seeing waves by this afternoon, and lasting beyond the weekend. Again, how far SOUTH is the question?

April 21, 8:00 am: Knee high swell with the wind on it down here.
Looks like we have a Bahamas wave embargo. Head North of Palm Beach and you should score. Winds are on it up there so if you don't mind the chop go hit it.

5:00 pm update: The powers that be must have lifted the embargo. Solid swell in the waist high range. The winds are giving it a little swamp ass ...still fun enough!
Swell should hold through tomorrow!?!

April 22 April 23 April 24

April 22, 10:00 am: Waist high wind blown wind swell with the wind on it, in it, over it and around it. It's a shame because this swell had potential to be allot of fun.

Bottom row pics were sent in by Ryan Pinder. THANKS!!!

April 23, 10:00 am: Good old SF wind chop back in effect. Waist high with bigger sets. Definitely a lot more fun than this past weekend!

April 24, 10:00 am: Fun waist to chest wind chop.

BIG THANKS to Hank and LIQUID for getting behind the camera!!!

April 25 April 26 April 27

April 26, 9:00 am: Waist high wind chop.

April 27, 7:00 am: It's down to knee high and somewhat ridable for the desperate.

April has been UPDATED on SFS for those of you looking for the memory shots of the Nor' easter swell!

KILLER beach day, but no waves. The bottom row pics are of ANT-MAN. He made it to the Junior longboard finals in the ESA regionals last week.
April has been UPDATED on SFS for those of you looking for the memory shots of the Nor' easter swell!

Surfrider Foundation now officially has a Broward County Chapter in Florida. This chapter is a great addition, filling an important gap in the Florida coastline.

Attention: ABC’s hit show “Wife Swap” is looking for surfing families to be featured in an upcoming episode. They’re hoping to find a great outgoing family that either has a child who surfs or the parents surf themselves.
Families featured on the show will receive a $20,000 honorarium.
The premise is that the wives from 2 different households swap places for a week to experience how another family lives and interacts under the rules of a new mom. Here is some information on the show.
